Store Setup
Configure store name, branding, currencies, locales, domain, and core settings in the current Store Setup wizard.
Overview
Store Management → Store Setup (/{locale}/store/setup) is a six-step wizard. Saves go to POST /api/store/setup with { step, data }. Completing the Domain step marks setup complete; you can reopen anytime via Edit setup.
Store URLs look like:
https://shop.orderinchat.com/store/{your-slug}
or your verified custom domain. Short links use oic.to/s/{slug} (Starter cannot customize the short code unless forced).
Steps
1. Basic Info

| Primary language + supported locales | Drive multilingual storefront |
| AI Translate Storefront UI | Translates storefront UI strings into supported locales |
| Weight unit | Metric (grams → kg/g labels) or Imperial (lb/oz) — used by Shipping rules |
| Booking timezone | IANA timezone for bookings (not a general “store clock”) |
| Default currency | Primary store currency |
Changing default currency does not convert existing product prices. Update prices yourself.
2. Contact Info
- Store email and phone (customer-facing contact)
- Owner WhatsApp — your personal/ops number for emergencies (not the Meta WhatsApp Business number)
- Physical store address (footer / Contact / shipping origin)
3. Branding
- Logo upload
- Footer description (footer brand text) with optional AI Translate into supported locales
- Store website URL
4. Domain
- Custom domain manager + verification / SSL
- Short link customization (plan-gated)
5. Configuration
Shortcut hub linking to Email, Tax, Shipping, and Payment (opens in new tabs). Includes tax included in prices toggle.
6. Complete
Shows main store URL, short URL, and tenant ID.
Tips
- Store name and slogan placement are independent — use visibility dropdowns instead of guessing where text appears.
- Supported locales + AI storefront translate live on Basic Info; footer text has its own translate control on Branding.
- Owner WhatsApp in Contact ≠ WhatsApp Business under Integrations.
